Rainforest Chai Masala is our own potent blend of responsibly sourced ALL ORGANIC spices and herbs. Our formula combines 10 ingredients known for their Anti-Inflammatory effects, Antioxidants, Digestive Support and more.

NOTE: This is a blend of finely ground herbs and black tea. As a result it brews strong and concentrated... a little goes a long way.
In India, the person who makes and serves chai masala is known as a chai wallah. In areas where no master of chai is handy, you can do the job yourself.
All Organic Ingredients - Listed in alphabetical order:
Anise Seed - Pimpinella Anisum
Black Pepper (Malabar) - Piper Nigrum
Black Tea - Camellia sinensis (CTC)
Cardamom (Green) - Elettaria Cardamomum
Cinnamon - Cinnamomum Burmanii
Cloves - Syzygium Aromaitcum
Fennel Seed - Foeniculum Vulgare
Ginger Root - Zingiber Officinale
Licorice - Glycyrrhize glabra
Tulsi Leaf - AKA Holy Basil

Recipe 1, Single serving -
Step 1) Bring to boil and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Either have the chai tea leaves loose, use a very large tea bag, or use a tea ball:
1 Tablespoon Chai Masala*
1.5 Cups water
Step 2) Add 1 Cup milk/creamer and 1- 2 Tablespoons of raw honey or other natural sweetener to taste.
Step 4) Strain and serve.

Recipe 2, Concentrate -
Step 1) Bring to boil and simmer very low for 45 minutes to 2 hours:
5 Tablespoons Rainforest Chai Masala*
8-10 Cups spring water
Step 2) Add 1/2 to 1 cup room temp water, and 6 to 10 Tablespoons of raw honey or other natural sweetener to taste - stir in well.
Step 3) Allow to cool slightly and pour through strainer into large glass storage bottle. Store in refrigerator. NOTE: this concoction becomes very thick and almost syrup-like, so take a few extra moments and capture all the chai juices before discarding the chai tea leaves.
When ready to use, combine 1 part concentrate with 1 part milk (or other creamer) depending on taste, heat and serve.

Fun options:
Try adding some freshly sliced ginger and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper and turmeric powder when making this chai. Other herbs can be added such as peppermint, rose buds, lavender, vanilla bean, goji, etc. You get the idea :)
