Story: These sought-after silver white tea buds are cultivated in the mountains of Yunnan, then hand plucked at the 1st Spring harvest of 2024 then PERFECTLY AGED to balance the tea flavor, fragrance and aroma. The silver needles name comes from the tiny silver hairs (snow) that coat the young tea leaves. The leaves are quite thin and due to careful processing, most of the small hairs on the leaves have been preserved. These white fuzzy tea buds brew into a light gold infusion, with naturally light floral notes of honeysuckle and a sweet lingering aftertaste.
The Yunnan Province is a beautiful semi-tropical area with an unusually high level of biodiversity. It is in the far southwest corner of China. Many people consider this area as the home of the first cultivated tea plants. It is also in the area which includes northeastern India and Myanmar where many scientists believe the tea tree was born. If you love the classic Silver Needle white tea from the Fujian Province you will find this tea to be an elegant variation on that classic tea.
Sophisticated and complex, this tea can yield several satisfying infusions, whereas many jasmine teas would fail to sustain. This spring-harvested silver down-covered buds is prized for rich flavor and medicinal benefits. The L-theanine in white tea encourages an alert state of relaxation. This is a tea to be sipped and savored for multiple infusions, and a must-try for tea connoisseurs.
